Ausstellungseröffnung in Gaildorf

Am Freitag Anreise nach Gaildorf ohne Probleme. Zuerst in Gaildorf die Bilder abgeliefert. Von Herrn Schwarz bestens empfangen worden. Die Bilder gleich in die Galerie gebracht. Nach einem guten Kaffee mit Kuchen wieder zurück nach Ludwigsburg zu Gunar , meinem Cousin. Beim und nach dem Nachtessen haben wir eine DVD über seine Reise nach Peru und Brasilien angeschaut und er hat mir eindrücklich von seiner Reise erzählt. War sehr spannend besonders natürlich Machu Pichu und die Nazca Ebene mit den grossen Bildern die man nur vom Meer her oder aus grosser Höhe sehen kann.
Am Samstag früh aufstehen. Es ist gut eine Stunde mit dem Auto von Ludwigsburg bis nach Gaildorf. Um 10 Uhr war ich dort und habe begonnen die Bilder zu platzieren und aufzuhängen. Zwei Mitarbeiter von der Galerie habe mir dabei geholfen so das um 15 Uhr alle Bilder aufgehängt waren. Dann fuhren wir zur Familie Schwarz zu Kuchen und Kaffee. Am Abend wieder in Ludwigsburg gab es dann Pizza.
Sonntags konnte ich ausschlafen. Nach dem Frühstück dann ein langer Spaziergang mit dem Ferienhund von Gunar. Leider konnte der Hund nicht freilaufen, Sie war läufig. Es war kalt draußen und ein eisiger Wind fegte über das Land. Nach dem Mittagessen dann wieder nach Gaildorf. Die Galerie wurde um 15 Uhr geöffnet. Und es kamen auch schon Leute. Um 17 Uhr dann die offizielle Eröffnung der Ausstellung. Ansprache von Herrn Schwarz. Dann eine Grussrede vom Stadtpräsidenten. Dazwischen Musik gespielt auf dem Flügel verschiedene Stücke Jazz. Alles in einem wunderschön renovierten Saal. Anschließend haben sich die Leute die Bilder angeschaut. Mitausgestellt hat eine Künstlerin aus Gaildorf. Sie malt und zeichnet Pferde. Es gab viele lobende Worte. Mit vielen Leuten habe ich gesprochen. Der Abend ging vorbei wie im Fluge. Zum Abschluss noch Nachtessen bei der Familie Schwarz. Es war ein wunderschöner Tag. Um halb eins war ich dann im Bett.
Montag wieder normal aus dem Bett. Nach dem Frühstück auf die Autobahn und um 14 Uhr war ich wieder zu Hause. Es war eine schönes Wochenende.

Friday we drove to Gaildorf without problems. First we delivered the paintings; Mr. Schwarz was happy to receive them. After a good coffee and cake, we went to Ludwigsburg to the house of Gunar, my cousin. During dinner, and after, we watched a DVD of his trip to Peru and Brazil. What he showed me clearly tells of his trip, and was very exciting to see, especially Machu Pichu and the Nazca level. They were those great pictures that you can only get from the sea or high altitudes.

It is a good hour by car from Ludwigsburg to Gaildorf, so on Saturday we started early. By 10 o’clock I was there and beginning to hang up the paintings. With the help of two employees of the gallery, all of the pictures were hung by 3 o’clock. Then we went to the Schwarz’s for cake and coffee. That evening in Ludwigsburg we had pizza for dinner.

I was able to sleep late Sunday. After breakfast we took the dog for a long walk; unfortunately she was in heat and could not just walk free. It was cold outside and an icy wind swept over the country. We had lunch, said goodbye to Gunar, and went back to Gaildorf. The gallery opened at 3 p.m., and there were even some people there then, even though the official opening of the exhibition wasn’t until 5 p.m. It began with an address by Mr. Schwarz, then a greeting speech by the town president. There was music from a jazz ensemble in the wing in the beautifully renovated hall. Exhibiting with me was an artist from Gaildorf who draws and paints horses. There were many words of praise, and I spoke with many people. The evening flew by! After, we had dinner at the Schwarz’s. It was a beautiful day. I was in bed by half past one, and up on Monday at my normal time. We had breakfast first and at 9.30 am i was on the road and were home by 2 p.m. It was a nice weekend.
